After Builders Cleaning Wembley

A small renovation can leave dust along the route through the home. Tell us which Wembley rooms were used by the builders and what needs attention now the work is finished.
- Working areas and routes described first
- Cleaning tools and products brought along
- A quotation for the rooms you select

Check the route as well as the renovated room.
An entrance, corridor or adjoining room may have been used to carry materials and store tools. Include it in your enquiry if it needs cleaning. Say whether those areas belong to the property you can provide access to, or are shared with others. A request for one room does not tell us what has happened outside it.
For a Wembley flat, explain the entrance and any stairs or lift on the way to the rooms. Have your postcode ready when checking dates. Tell us about restrictions that affect getting to the property, and who will be there to let the cleaners in.

Describe what changed during the project.
Plastering walls, replacing a bathroom and laying flooring can leave different residue. After builders cleaning is intended for ordinary dirt and dust left after refurbishment, with the affected surfaces agreed beforehand. It involves a different task list from a routine domestic visit. Tell us what was done and what is still visible, rather than asking simply for the whole place to be cleaned.
If another room mainly needs old household dirt removed, compare a separate deep clean. You can discuss both concerns, but identify the tasks so the quotation covers the work you actually want.
Write down the dusty edges you have noticed.
Skirting boards, reachable window ledges and door surrounds can collect fine dust that is less obvious than the floor. Mention accessible shelves and surfaces near the work too. A close photograph of an edge may be more useful than a distant picture of the whole room. Explain whether more sanding, cutting or plastering is planned.
This visit concerns ordinary settled project dust. If a material may contain asbestos or lead, obtain the appropriate specialist advice and leave it undisturbed. Household cleaning is not hazardous waste disposal or a clearance test for airborne dust.
Keep the cupboard surfaces accessible.
Name the worktops, fronts, empty shelf interiors and other reachable kitchen surfaces you want discussed. Explain what is already stored inside the cupboards. It helps to know whether the room is empty after installation or back in daily use; the surfaces and access are different.
Give us the materials and the installer’s care notes for new worktops and fronts. Tell us about coatings or sealants that still need time. Appliance dust on the outside and grease within an oven are separate cleaning concerns. Describe both if relevant so their inclusion can be discussed.
Ask about the new bathroom finishes.
Loose dust can remain on a basin, bath, shower surround and reachable tiled surfaces. Include the floor and any ledges in the list. Fresh sealant and grout need the fitter’s advice about when and how they can be cleaned. Keep that information available instead of assuming the room is ready because the installation looks complete.
Show paint specks or dried deposits and identify their material if known. Cleaning cannot mend cracked grout or scratches in a new fitting. Raise workmanship defects with the installer and keep them separate from the residue you want assessed.

Do not add more products to an uncertain mark.
If you have already tried a product on paint or adhesive, tell us what it was and where it was applied. Supply a photograph if requested. Removal depends on the deposit and the finish beneath it, and some marks may remain. It is better to discuss the surface before scraping or applying another solvent.
Hardened cement, damaged stone and paint restoration need separate consideration; they are not automatic parts of an ordinary room clean. Structural repairs and specialist high-level work are also outside the household tasks described here. Explain difficult access before booking.
List the material in each affected room.
Tell us which areas have timber, laminate, vinyl, tile or carpet. Mention recent coatings and restrictions on water or products. Dust on a surface and damage within a finish are not the same job. Share the fitter’s guidance for a new floor before arranging cleaning.
If fitted carpet needs more than surface attention, ask about a carpet cleaning quote. Explain spills or ingrained marks separately from construction dust, and confirm any combined work and timing before the appointment.
Choose a date after the final dusty task.
Ask the builders which jobs remain and whether any will create dust again. Have them clear tools and building waste from the areas to be cleaned, and explain anything still present. The cleaning appointment is not a rubble collection visit. Safe, accessible working space matters more than an ambitious date.
Tell us about interior glass affected by the refurbishment. For a wider request, read the window cleaning details and specify the panes and sides wanted. Outside glass is not automatically included in the room list.

Check what the hourly estimate adds up to.
| Service | From |
|---|---|
| After builders cleaning | £25 per hour per cleaner |
Starting rates depend on availability and are published for areas within the M25. Applicable congestion charges are extra. Ask for the full quotation for the agreed work.
After builders prices start from £25 per hour per cleaner. Ask how many cleaners and how much time the quote allows. Tools and products are provided. Room size, residue, surfaces and access affect the estimate; get the full amount for the agreed tasks before confirming a booking.
Give the actual postcode when checking appointments.
Access and task-list questions
Can I add a hallway the builders walked through?
Include it in the enquiry if you want it cleaned. Explain its condition and who can provide access, especially for a shared hallway.
Should stored building materials be moved first?
Discuss clearance with the contractor and tell us what will remain. Do not move unsafe or unknown material simply to make space for cleaning.
Do I need to know the floor material?
Material details and care instructions help us discuss the work. Ask the fitter if you are uncertain, particularly for a newly treated surface.
Can I request both cupboard fronts and shelves?
Yes, describe the accessible surfaces you want considered and whether shelves are empty. Their inclusion should be clear in the quotation.
What if another dusty trade returns after the visit?
Explain their schedule before choosing the date. More cutting or sanding can settle fresh dust on areas that have already been cleaned.
Are two cleaners charged as a single hourly rate?
The published starting figure is per cleaner per hour. Ask for the cleaner numbers, expected hours and complete quotation for your request.
Make the room list easy to follow.
Call with your Wembley postcode, the work completed and any affected routes. We can discuss surfaces, access and a quotation.
