Regular Domestic Cleaning Esher

Not every room needs the same work every week. Build the regular visit around the areas you want kept on top of, with occasional tasks agreed separately. Give us your Esher postcode and we can discuss the rooms, hours and availability.

OCCUPIED ROOMS

A full property list is not always the right cleaning list.

Start with the rooms that are regularly used. A main bathroom, kitchen and sitting room may need repeated attention, while a guest room can be considered only when needed. Explain if there are rooms you want excluded. The cleaner should have a clear brief rather than an assumption that every room needs an identical clean on every occasion.

For your Esher address, describe levels, bathrooms and the floors to be cleaned. If you have several bathrooms but only use one often, say so. This is a more useful basis for time than counting bedrooms alone, and it keeps attention on the work you actually want to hand over.

FLOORS AND FURNITURE

Say what can be reached safely.

Routine floor care can include hoovering and cleaning suitable hard flooring. Clear loose belongings and explain any floor finish with particular care instructions. Stairs add work and need to be included in the description. Heavy items should not be moved simply because a patch of floor underneath is difficult to reach.

Reachable dusting may cover tables, shelves and bedroom furniture. Put delicate possessions, personal papers and small valuables out of the working areas. If you want linen changed, leave clean sets ready and include the number of beds in the brief. Extra household jobs need time, even when each sounds small on its own.

KITCHEN AND BATHROOM

Explain routine dirt and older build-up differently.

A usual kitchen visit may include worktops, sink, taps, the hob surface and the floor. Cupboard interiors and cleaning inside the oven are separate discussions. Tell us if washing-up is wanted and how much it usually involves, as this can change what fits into the rest of the appointment.

Bathroom work can cover the toilet, basin and bath or shower, plus suitable floors and fittings. Mention strong limescale, damaged surfaces and recurring mould. A routine clean does not mend a seal or remove the cause of moisture, so those problems need to be described rather than hidden in an ordinary room checklist.

CHOOSING THE GAP

Choose the interval and settle the first booking.

Weekly help may suit homes where bathroom and floor work builds up quickly. Fortnightly visits can work when daily spills and small jobs are handled between them. There is no reason to choose solely on property size: use of the rooms, pets and your own routine affect the work left for the cleaner.

After the first visit, check the outcome against the agreed priorities. If a room was more time-consuming than expected, discuss more time or fewer optional tasks. A rotating room list can be useful, provided changes are agreed and do not keep expanding the appointment without adjusting the hours.

Ask who will supply the hoover, mop, cloths and products. Test any equipment you provide and label products clearly. Explain natural stone, untreated wood and products that must be avoided. Agree entry, alarm and locking arrangements if you will not be present, and tell us about pets or gates that affect access.

The published hourly starting rate is £18 per cleaner for regular domestic cleaning. Minimum charges and terms apply, rates may differ by area and applicable congestion charges are excluded. Confirm hours, cleaners and any extra cost for your Esher booking before deciding.

OTHER WORK

Make larger or specialist jobs separate enquiries.

For a long-neglected area, discuss a one-off clean before regular maintenance. A routine visit should not be given an old backlog on top of a full recurring list without a proper discussion of time.

Fabric seating may require upholstery treatment, and suitable windows can be quoted through the window-cleaning service. Mention the materials and access involved. Combining appointments is something to request; it is not evidence that each specialist task is covered by the routine hourly charge.

Questions about maintaining an Esher home

Can a guest bedroom be cleaned only before visitors?

Discuss it as an occasional task and give notice before the relevant appointment. The extra work needs room in the booked time or an agreed change to priorities.

Are stairs included when discussing the hours?

They should be described with the rooms and flooring. Number of levels and the area to clean affect the work, so a bedroom count alone is not enough.

Can I ask for bathroom care at every visit?

Yes, identify it as a repeating priority. Specify which bathrooms are in use and explain their condition so the proposed appointment allows for that work.

What if the vacuum cleaner stops working?

Tell the team before the visit where possible. Confirm the equipment arrangement rather than assume a replacement will arrive without notice or that the intended floor work can proceed.

Will the cleaner move a heavy cabinet?

Do not include heavy furniture moving as an assumed routine task. Explain the area you want reached and ask what is suitable before booking the work.

Can I increase the hours later?

You can request a change after reviewing the visits. Extra time and availability need confirmation; giving a longer list does not itself extend the booked appointment.
