THE SOFA, THE PIECES AND THE QUOTE

Sofa Cleaning Fulham

A two-seater and a large corner unit are different cleaning jobs. Describe your Fulham sofa, its fabric and the parts you want cleaned. Ask for the complete quote and a suitable appointment.

  • Two-seat and three-seat starting prices
  • Corner sections described individually
  • Fabric and cushion care discussed

Make the sofa easy to identify.

Tell us if it is a two-seater, three-seater, corner sofa or a group of modular sections. A chaise adds a different shape from an ordinary seat, and a corner unit may have several joined pieces. Give approximate dimensions and a photograph that shows the whole arrangement. Seat count is a useful start, but it does not describe every surface or cushion involved.

List the arms, seating, backs and loose cushions you want included. Mention a matching footstool as a separate item. For dining chairs, armchairs or a mixed furniture list, see cleaning other upholstered furniture and name those pieces separately.

Find the label before choosing a treatment.

Look for the care label under a cushion or beneath the sofa if it can be reached safely. Keep the manufacturer’s instructions and send a clear photograph if requested. Woven fabric, velvet and delicate blends can need different handling. Texture alone is not enough to identify the material or its cleaning limits.

Say if the sofa has been re-covered, has contrasting panels or has already had a protective treatment. Mention weak seams and any area where colour has changed. A removable cover is not permission to machine wash it. Leave the covers in place until the care instructions and agreed cleaning arrangements are clear.

The method follows the fabric, not the seating label.

Cleaner blotting a small mark on a fabric sofa seat

We offer hot water extraction and dry cleaning for delicate materials. Suitability depends on the actual fabric, its condition and the care information. Ask which option is proposed for your sofa and what the quote covers.

Professional products and equipment are used for the service. Explain any previous spot products before treatment is discussed. If stain protection is offered, ask whether it is suitable, included or an extra.

Count the cushions as well as the seats.

A fixed seat, loose seat cushion and scatter cushion may not have the same construction. Identify which can be lifted and which are attached. Say whether you want one face, both faces or the edges considered, and mention different fabric on the reverse. Keep decorative cushions separate in the list so their inclusion can be agreed.

A spill can reach beyond the cover. Explain a damp patch or smell from the filling, but do not assume the appointment includes treatment inside every cushion. Cleaning fabric does not rebuild flattened padding or mend a zip. Ask what can reasonably be addressed for the pieces you have described.

Show the mark and explain what happened.

For tea, coffee, sauce or another food or drink mark, tell us its cause and approximate age. Mention rubbing, blotting and any products used afterwards. Do not keep adding cleaning foam or repeatedly wetting the spot before the visit. A close photo and a wider view help show both the mark and the surrounding fabric.

Pet-related soiling needs its own explanation: where the incident happened, whether it has happened again and whether the smell seems to come from a cushion. Not every stain or odour can be removed. Fading, a worn patch and a change caused by an earlier product are different from dirt that can be cleaned.

Clear the working space without lifting the sofa yourself.

Take away throws, toys, phones and small personal items. Explain tables or other furniture close to the sofa and any narrow route into the room. We can help with lightweight furniture; discuss heavier movement before the appointment. Do not dismantle a corner unit or recliner to make access without suitable advice.

Give your Fulham postcode and say who can provide entry. Mention stairs, building access and any practical restrictions. If the room also needs general household cleaning, compare a one-off home visit. Sofa fabric treatment and cleaning the surrounding room should be clear as separate tasks.

Plan somewhere else to sit after the clean.

Working time and drying time are different. The service gives a general one-to-two-hour working guide, with size and condition affecting the visit. Ask for an estimate for your configuration, particularly for several corner sections. Drying also depends on the method, material, filling and room conditions; the guide is not a fixed return-to-use time.

Follow the advice given for the treated sofa before sitting on it, covering it with a throw or putting cushions back. Ask about suitable ventilation and cushion positioning. If you also want the living room carpet cleaned, discuss the timing and access for both treatments, with their aftercare kept separate.

Use the starting figures to ask for the whole-sofa total.

The figures below are item-based starting prices, not an hourly rate. Confirm the sofa dimensions, configuration, fabric and cushions in the quote. Describe corner sections and separate cushions so we can quote the complete job.

BEFORE THE VISIT

Questions about the sofa you want quoted

Does a chaise count as an ordinary seat in the price list?

Describe its size and the adjoining sections. Ask for the quote for that configuration rather than treating every corner or chaise unit as a standard three-seater.

Should I unzip the covers before you arrive?

Keep them in place unless the care guidance and booking arrangements say otherwise. A zip does not tell you whether washing or removal is suitable.

Are scatter cushions included with the sofa?

Put them on the item list and ask for confirmation. Different covers, fillings or materials may need a separate discussion from the seat cushions.

Can pet smells always be removed from the filling?

Some odours may remain. Explain the incident, earlier treatment and where the smell comes from, then ask what can be addressed.

When can I use the sofa again?

Ask for aftercare for the chosen method and actual fabric. Allow alternative seating and follow the cleaner’s advice about when the treated pieces are ready.

What helps you quote a corner sofa accurately?

A whole-sofa photo, approximate dimensions, section count, care label and cushion list. Include the marks and surfaces you want treated, with access details.

Have the sofa details ready when you call.

Tell us the seat layout, fabric, cushion list and marks at your Fulham address. We will discuss the quote and available dates.
