BETWEEN THE LAST OCCUPANT AND THE NEXT · BERMONDSEY

End of Tenancy Cleaning Bermondsey

An empty period is useful only when the work is arranged within it. Give us the departure date, expected handover and condition of the Bermondsey property. We can discuss the cleaning brief before another household starts moving in.

  • Changeover dates considered
  • Vacant-property condition reviewed
  • Appliance and carpet choices clarified

Scope and price agreed before booking

Identify the window when the rooms will be available.

Give the departure and next-arrival dates with removals, repairs or deliveries in between. Cleaning before dusty repairs or another furniture move may need reconsideration; agree the sequence beforehand.

For a departing tenant, give the date belongings leave and when access ends. Cleaning helps prepare the requested areas, but it cannot establish the landlord’s inspection result or a deposit return. The property condition and any repair responsibilities remain separate from the cleaning scope.

Inspect the rooms after the last belongings leave.

Vacant rooms may reveal grease, dust and deposits previously hidden by belongings. Describe newly visible work and update an enquiry made before removals rather than assuming a lightly soiled property.

Give rooms, bathrooms, fittings, storage and appliances. Confirm the specific tasks and interiors wanted. High surfaces, furniture movement, exterior panes and appliance dismantling need explicit assessment; a whole-property request does not settle every access method. Identify fragile finishes and damage that cleaning cannot repair.

Use the vacant space to make the brief precise.

Kitchen fittings left behind

Discuss cupboard fronts, worktops, splashbacks, sink, hob and extractor surfaces. Explain cupboards and appliances remaining, with any interior work requested clearly. Free oven cleaning is advertised with tenancy bookings; confirm the appliance and compartments in the quote. Fridge interiors or defrosting arrangements should be raised separately instead of presumed within that offer.

Bathroom deposits and fittings

List showers or baths, basin, toilet, taps and suitable tiles, noting limescale or product residue. Describe material condition as well as dirt. Worn grout, failed seals or a moisture source may require another trade; cleaning does not repair them. Do not expect every discoloured area to disappear merely because toiletries have been removed.

Floors and exposed edges

Explain hard floors, carpeted areas, doors, skirting, fittings and internal glass. Accessible furniture surfaces may still be relevant where landlord items remain. Note obstructions and fragile materials. Vacuuming carpets is different from treating fibres and marks; the selected carpet option needs to be visible in the property quotation.

Empty of tenants does not always mean unfurnished.

A furnished property may retain beds, chairs, cabinets and seating after departure. List those items and describe access around them. Consider the furniture surfaces and any fabric treatment separately; the presence of a sofa does not make upholstery treatment an automatic task.

For an unfurnished property, include fitted storage, appliances and floor coverings in the description. The label alone cannot determine workload or duration. Explain heavy items that cannot readily be moved, belongings awaiting collection and rooms where access is still restricted. Both furnished and unfurnished properties can be assessed for the service.

Complete clearing before the agreed cleaning stage.

Arrange removal of rubbish and possessions, and prepare agreed storage interiors. Check any appliance preparation with the booking contact. If repairs are outstanding, explain their timing and likely effect on surfaces; do not assume cleaners will remove builders’ debris as part of the tenancy brief.

Put private or fragile items remaining at the property safely away. Share material care instructions and restricted products. Confirm cleaning supply and equipment arrangements, especially for unusual finishes or special access. Preparation should follow the agreed tasks rather than creating an unrequested storage-clearance project.

Give one contact responsibility for access.

Provide the Bermondsey address, property size, rooms, condition and proposed dates. Photos can show deposits or the state after removals; include wider views and material details without personal documents. Discuss expected duration from the workload, not an assumed number of hours per bedroom.

Agree who can authorise entry, provide keys and receive completion information. Explain shared entrances, alarms and relevant parking restrictions. Attendance throughout is unnecessary, but securing the property afterwards needs confirmation. Request the appointment early and check availability before promising the next occupant a cleaning date.

Separate construction residue and fabric work.

If repairs leave dust or debris, discuss after-builders cleaning with the condition described. Choose carpet treatment if the handover requires more than vacuuming. For retained seating, request upholstery assessment with fabric and mark details. Confirm separate preparation, pricing and scheduling rather than assuming extra treatment will fit into the tenancy job.

Quote the property as it will stand at cleaning.

Published two-bedroom tenancy prices start at £245 excluding carpets or £275 including carpets. Three-bedroom figures start at £307 and £337 respectively. These are property-based starting figures; extra rooms, size and the specified areas affect the actual quote. The service is not charged using the household hourly starting rate.

Minimum charges, terms and availability apply, with applicable congestion charges additional. Confirm the carpet basis, advertised oven offer and any separate tasks in the complete price. Do not calculate a larger property by extending the published categories; request an assessment for its layout.

Identify the usable interval between occupants.

For the Bermondsey property, give the final departure and next arrival dates, including any repair visit or furniture delivery between them. Identify who can confirm the rooms are available and provide entry. Discuss cleaning against that complete changeover sequence.

Cleaning during a Bermondsey changeover

Should repairs happen before the tenancy clean?

Explain the repair schedule and likely dust or debris. Agree the sequence so cleaning is planned for the right condition; construction residue may require a separate service.

What if condition changes after the tenant leaves?

Update the booking contact with the newly visible work before the appointment. Photos and a written description help clarify the scope rather than relying on an earlier empty-property assumption.

Does a vacant property count as unfurnished?

Not if landlord furniture remains. Describe the items, fittings and appliances present so access and treatment requirements are assessed accurately.

Can an agent provide keys for both visits?

Agree authorised entry and securing arrangements directly for the cleaning appointment. Do not presume collection, drop-off or arrangements made for another contractor automatically apply.

Is carpet treatment necessary in every room?

State the handover requirement and carpeted areas. Confirm the chosen quote basis and work rather than assuming vacuuming and specialist treatment are interchangeable.

Can you guarantee the new tenant’s approval?

The cleaning scope can be agreed for handover, but the company cannot control another person’s inspection decision. Raise cleaning concerns through the confirmed booking terms.

Agree the work for the available changeover period.

Share the Bermondsey changeover dates and condition. We can discuss the scope, authorised entry and complete quote.
